Earlier this year I held a secret bid auction, as part of the 4Networking Birthday Bash, to win me for a day, to do almost anything (within reason!) for the local businesses. NECS of Gosforth won with a bid of £101 and so the challenge was set - what did they want me to do? In the end the plan was to re-use the Elf outfit and give away some Brochures on Gosforth High Street between Christmas and New Year. The plan didn't quite come to fruition however, as we had one of the wettest and windiest days of the year and so the elf costume had to be ditched. Then, due to the weather, it turned out that there weren't many people around on the high street, and standing still was a very cold and miserable experience, so I slightly changed the goalposts and went for a wander around Gosforth and Jesmond, giving out leaflets and doing a leaflet drop around some of the houses in the area. While not massively challenging normally, the wind and rain made it bad enough to feel like I was suffering for NECS's generous donation and hopefully they got some return in the form of some new customers!
